Why Do You Need an Industrial Refrigerated Dryer?

air-dryers3 Air dyers are a part of compressed air systems. While air compressors serve to remove air from the surrounding and environment and pressurize it for later use, air dryers aid in the removal of impurities that are left after the compression process. There are two types of refrigerated compressed air dryers: cycling and non-cycling. Cycling dryers live to its name and work on a cyclical basis while non-cycling refrigerated dryers work continuously, using evaporators to cool the compressed air. Both types of refrigerated air dryers function to remove anything that can cause damage to the compressed air system. These impurities include:

  • Moisture
  • Water
  • Mold
  • Airborne Pollutants
  • Oil

Failure to remove condensates can lead to corrosion, wear, and overall damage to the system. In addition, the damage can any machinery that is attached to it. Damage to the machinery can lead to high maintenance and repair costs which in turn severely affect a business’ product for the negative. As a result, it is important for any business or facility with a compressed air system to invest in an industrial refrigerated air dryer.
